Terms of Service

Last updated: 13 August 2026

Plain English, because you should be able to read this. By creating a RollCall group you agree to what is set out below.

1. Who you are dealing with

RollCall is operated by Ephraim Stocks, Christchurch, New Zealand ("RollCall", "we"). You are the organisation that creates a group and its account ("you").

2. What the service is

RollCall is a web application for running check-in and attendance for a group: members sign themselves in on a shared screen, leaders see who is present, and administrators manage members, groups and reports. It runs in a browser and installs as a web app; there is no separate native app.

3. Your account

4. Your responsibilities for member data

You decide what to collect about your members and why. You are the agency under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, which means it is your job to:

How we handle that data is set out in the Privacy Policy.

5. What you may not do

6. Plans, billing and cancelling

7. Your data is yours

You own your member and attendance data. We claim no ownership of it and will not use it to train anything, sell it, or share it beyond what the Privacy Policy describes. You can export it (CSV export is a Pro feature) or ask us to delete it at any time.

8. Availability

RollCall is a young product run by one person. We work hard to keep it up and running, but we do not promise a particular uptime, and there may be occasional interruptions for maintenance or beyond our control. Because check-in matters most on the night, keep a simple fallback (pen and paper will do) for the rare occasion something is down.

9. Suspension and ending the agreement

10. Liability

RollCall is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it arose. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be limited by law — including, where the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act applies, your rights under it. Where you use RollCall for business purposes, you agree the Consumer Guarantees Act does not apply.

11. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that materially affects you, we will email the address on your account at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use RollCall after that means you accept the change.

12. Law

These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and the New Zealand courts have jurisdiction.
